Bulk Trigger

The Bulk Trigger function allows you to capture multiple pictures of the same piece with different lighting settings and using a single trigger signal.

With the addition of the new driver iBlueDrive2,all iBlueDrive lights have the Bulk Trigger function.

From version 1.4.1 the Bulk Trigger wizard has been implemented to make it even easier to configure your lightings for any application guiding you step by step.

You can use Bulk Trigger to:

• Photometric Stereo: Capture the same scene lit from different angles to capture volumes from the shadows
• Multi-Spectral Lighting: Capture the same scene with different lighting colors
• Multi-Type Lighting: Capture the same scene with different types of lighting to obtain different data

Any combination is possible depending on the specific need of each application.

PHOTOMETRIC STEREO

Currently many industrial cameras incorporate the function, which allows the relief of the piece to be reconstructed from the shadows generated.

Thanks to Photometric Stereo it is also possible to obtain an image of the serigraphy ignoring the relief of the object.

MULTI-SPECTRAL LIGHTING

Bulk Trigger allows you to take multiple pictures of the same scene with different lighting colors.

For example, you can take a picture with a red light projector to read a barcode and with a blue light proyector to see the position of the label.

With Bulk Trigger you can configure the red light projector to trigger only with the first camera trigger and the blue light projector to trigger only with the second camera trigger. The result will be two totally different high-contrast images that can be easily processed separately.

MULTI-TYPE LIGHTING

Bulk Trigger allows you to take multiple pictures of the same scene with different lighting equipment.

For example, you can take one picture with a front projector to read a label and a second picture with a backlight to perform a measurement.

With Bulk-Trigger you can configure the projector po trigger only with the first camera trigger and the backlight to trigger only with the second camera trigger. The result will be two totally different images that can be processed separately.

ALL-IN-ONE DEVICES

All the iBlueDrive devices have BulkTrigger functionality. Any combination can be made between them to meet the specific needs of the application.

In addition, the new multisector and multispectral devices facilitate the installation and use of the Bulk Trigger by integrating several iBlueDrive controllers in the same equipment. This way it is possible to independently light one or several sectors of the same equipment, in the same or in different colors. .

HOW TO SET UP BULK TRIGGER?

Thanks to the free iBlueDrive Control Manager software, it is possible to configure up to 16 independent trigger points on each device in a simple way, offering thousands of possible combinations.

The Bulk Trigger can be configured in just 3 steps:

• Enable Bulk Trigger
• Choose when to trigger
• Set the maximum time between sequential triggers
• Repeat for each device or sector (in multi-sector devices)
