Multispectral devices
iBlueDrive2 allows us to offer equipment that integrates several colours that can be controlled independently with a single trigger signal.
The power, lighting time and other characteristics can be programmed independently in each of the colours of the equipment.

With a multispectral equipment it is possible to obtain multiple images of the same scene with different lighting colours, which allows to make several inspections highlighting or reducing the contrast in certain areas according to the interest.
In the following example, a PLC0824D lighting bar with two colours (blue and red) is used to read the barcode and measure the dimensions of the box.
The device is configured so that at the first shot the colour red lights up to increase the contrast of the barcode against the background of the label, as the background is red.
At the second shot, the unit is set to light up in blue, which increases the contrast of the label in front of the box and cancels out the barcode because the red background of the label will be black.
The result will be two totally different high-contrast images that can be easily processed separately to extract the barcode and the size of the label.

The flexibility achieved with iBlueDrive2 opens up a wide range of possibilities and new solutions easily and without the need for external controllers or complicated configurations.
Multisector or multispectral equipment is available in rings, darkfields, domes and illumination bars.
You can also use several individual devices using the Bulk-Trigger feature to achieve multi-spectral or multi-directional lighting.
By using the iBlueDrive Box you can make it even easier to generate the pulses needed for image acquisition, as well as simulate pulses manually to test different system configurations.
